Scarlet Overkill Costume Ideas for the Minion Villain

Scarlet Overkill, the new, female Super villain from The Minion Movie makes her official debut this summer 2015. Three of the minions—Stuart, Kevin and Bob—go to work for her 42 years B. G. (Before Gru).
This sexy, sinister she-villain sports a classic dress with gloves, hairstyle and makeup right out of the 1960’s. She also knows how to use a crossbow as a deadly weapon to get rid of anyone standing in her way.
The retro- 60’s look with a bright red dress, black gloves and bouffant/flip hairstyle will be a fun costume to recreate to wear to the premiere, to see the movie or for any costume party.
I predict that Scarlet’s costume is going to be very popular this Halloween for tween and teen Minion fans, their mothers, those who like the retro-60’s look or anyone who already owns a red strapless dress.

Scarlet Overkill
Who is Scarlet Overkill?
We first meet Scarlet at Villain Con International, “the biggest gathering of criminals anywhere.” A super villain rock star, Scarlet rockets onto the stage (in a flying dress) with her soon to be a classic line, “Doesn’t it feel so good to be bad?”
Scarlet is voiced by Sandra Bullock in the U.S. release of the Minion movie and by Thalía in the Latin America version.
I think that Thalía’s verison of the line, ¿No se siente bien hacer tanto mal? sounds much more sinister in Spanish.
Both versions of the quote will be cropping up on shirts, posters and meme’s soon.
Another quote soon to be popularized from the Minion Movie:
Crime isn’t Pretty – It’s Red Hot
Sandra Bullock is People.com’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman and she’s RED HOT as Scarlet Overkill in #Minions this summer!

Make Your Own Scarlet Overkill Costume
Since it is likely that any official new licensed costumes won’t be available until Halloween, to help Minion (and Scarlet Overkill fans) get into costume for the premier this summer, or for any Minion-themed party, we’ve put together two helpful pages to help with costume ideas and how to get her 60’s styled hair and makeup.
You might even want to include a moustache or a pair of 3-D glasses with your red dress.
