Cinderella Live Makeup Featuring MAC Collection

Cinderella from Disney's Live Movie
Cinderella’s Everyday No Makeup Look

For those wanting to recreate the live Cinderella look, from Disney’s new movie (by the same name), the everyday makeup for her as a maid is very simple and natural looking.

It doesn’t take a lot of make up products to recreate her natural, fresh-faced look.

This is a look that can likely be done by what many people already have in their makeup supply kit, just by rummaging around and pulling out some basic supplies.

Cinderella’s Everyday No Makeup, Makeup Look

Ella’s everyday look is a very light application of basic products. Her brows are enhanced with a dark brown pencil or gel. She has a light application of dark eyeliner or fluidline and mascara. A touch of blush and a hint of pink lipglass complete the look.

The beauty products needed for her natural makeup from top to bottom include:

  • Eyebrow pencil or gel
  • Mascara
  • Eyeliner or fluidline
  • Lipgloss/Lipglass
  • Blush
  • Foundation (optional)

There are times when she has ashes on her face too, hence the name ‘cinder’ Ella, so depending on the look you want to create you can add in ashes smudged on the face or not.

Cinderella’s Ball Makeup

Cinderella’s Ball Makeup Look

When Cinderella transforms from chamber maid to princess, she does so with some in front of our eyes magic from her Fairy Godmother and some behind the scenes magic from the makeup (and costuming) departments.

Fortunately she doesn’t have to add much to her natural day look to get the ready for the ball look. To the base look from above, she has applied a eyeshadow or eyegloss and then enhanced it with an eye pigment for extra sparkle.

Her lipstick color is what else but “Royal Ball,” a fleshy pink. To bring smooth out her complexion and bring sparkle to her face, she has a shimmery face powder.

  • Eyebrow pencil or gel

  • Mascara
  • Eyeliner or fluidline
  • Lipglass or Lipstick
  • Blush
  • Foundation
  • Shimmery face powder

To help recreate the Cinderella look, M.A.C. Cosmetics designed a limited-edition Cinderella Collection, in a beautiful shade or Cinderella blue.

The Cinderella M.A.C. Collection

As with Maleficent, the Cinderella limited-edition M.A.C. Collection is being release along with the movie. Very different than the Maleficent Movie, the Cinderella Collection focus on the sparkle and shimmer that echo in her iridescent light blue dress.

Cinderella Powder CaseThe collection with the color palette that was selected is very wearable, even for every day as seen in Cinderella’s “No Makeup Makeup” look.

The collection includes makeup for the eyes (shadow, gloss, lashes) for the lips (lipstick and lipglass), brushes and powders to create a special sparkle and glow on the face.

The M.A.C. special packaging were designed in a beautiful pearlized light lavender-blue as seen in the images. This new version of Cinderella blue is an iridescent blue with just a touch of lavender, creating almost has a magical quality.

You can find the collection at the M.A.C. site, on Amazon and on eBay. I’ve included a few of the products below that are available on Amazon.

Note: If you can find them still on the M.A.C. website, they are more reasonably priced.

Stroke of Midnight MAC Eye Shadow

The Stroke of Midnight Eye Shadow Palette (which is sold out on the M.A.C. website) includes the following colors in case you need to find substitutes:

  1. Vapour — a peachy pink with violet pearl accents in velvet
  2. Phloof! — a frosted off-white in frost
  3. Omega — a muted beige-taupe in matte
  4. Quarry — a muted plum-brown in matte
  5. Satin Taupe — a taupe with silver shimmer in frost
  6. Stroke of Midnight — a deep black-plum with sparkle pearl accents in velvet

Cat uses the Phloof! eye shadow in the corner of her eyes and Gina uses it to highlight her cheekbones. Gina uses Omega for eyebrows and cheekbones. Cat uses Vapour to highlight her brow bone.

Cinderella MAC Phloof! eye shadow The eye gloss is another highly recommended product by Gina. She was very excited to see this product added to the MAC product line, since it is one that has been featured by other companies.

The trick to using eye gloss is to tap the gloss right on the eyelid next to the lash line; the color helps to open up the eyes.

Two Looks Inspired by the Cinderella M.A.C. Collection

For two different looks inspired by the M.A.C. product line for Cinderella, see the step-by-step directions from makeup artist, Jam Leonard at the Disney style blog.

The first is Cinderella’s look, Kindness and Courage which is created using the lighter tone. This versatile look can be toned down for daytime and glammed up with shimmer for the evening, or in her case the ball room.

The second is the Stepmother’s look, Madam will do, using the darker palette tones to create a very dramatic (un-Cinderella) look.

Cinderella Makeup Tutorial – The Glam Version

Carli Bybel shares her tutorial using the M.A.C. product line to create a very glam look for Cinderella, like the one she is wearing. She also offers some great suggestion for color substitutions if you cannot find the official Cinderella makeup.
